CHALFONT – Rep. Todd Polinchock (R-Bucks) announced Pearl S. Buck International received a Cultural and Historical Support Grant to support historical preservation efforts.
“I am pleased to know that the vision of Pearl S. Buck is being so well preserved in our community and throughout the world. This is such an important historical site and society, the mission is much bigger than Pennsylvania itself and I could not be any prouder that it is being taken care of so well,” said Polinchock.
Pearl S. Buck International has received $11,015 to continue the mission of Pearl S. Buck who was championed for humanitarian aid, supporting education and bridging cultures. The Pearl S. Buck House is a National Historic Landmark, which remembers her legacy and reminds the world of her mission of building a better future for children.
The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) approved nearly $2 million to fund 153 museums and historical societies in 58 counties with Cultural and Historical Support Grants.
